A human story

Transcript:
Over the last 20 years, the face of the Canadian Francophonie has changed considerably.Thousands of people from countries of the global Francophonie have joined the Franco-Ontarian community and transformed it into an international collectivity of many cultures and traditions.
Today, more than 300,000 Francophones living in Ontario are members of a racial or ethnocultural minority. Many associations and groups such as the Conseiléconomique et social d’Ottawa-Carleton (CÉSOC) have joined French Ontario’s association movement and are working hard to help these new Francophones get established and integrated into the Franco-Ontarian community.
With their passion and pride, these associations are helping to completely reinvent the community and turn it into a more diverse Francophonie endowed with the new global consciousness that will be so vital for the new millennium.
Thanks to these new Franco-Ontarians, Ontario’s Francophonie is a strong, rich community that can cope with any challenges the future may hold.
