What is a request for information?
A request for information to the Office of the French Language Commissioner (OFLSC) is an inquiry regarding a program or service offered by the government of Ontario or any other provincial or federal initiative. It is important to note that a request for information is not a complaint and will not be processed as such by the OFLSC. However, the applicant has the right to file a complaint if he or she considers that his or her right to receive services in French has not been respected. The OFLSC will respond to the request for information once it has the appropriate response, or the applicant will be redirected to the appropriate office when applicable.
